DISEASES OF AQUATIC ANIMALS

CALL FOR PAPERS
We invite you to participate in the "4th Annual International Virtual Conference in Veterinary Medicine (IVCVM)" hosted by the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
The theme of this conference is "Biology and Medicine of Aquatic Species."

Concept and scope of the conference: A "virtual conference" is a scientific meeting or conference with a specific theme that is conducted entirely on the World Wide Web. There will be no registration fees or travel expenses!!

Conference manuscripts should contain approximately the same information as a 12 to 15 minute platform presentation. Manuscripts will be supported by graphs, charts, photographs, photomicrographs, and electron micrographs presented as digital images (JPG format preferred). We also can support video (movie) and audio files.

Manuscripts are acceptable as case reports or larger studies of naturally-occurring or experimental disease. Diagnostic techniques also are encouraged. Review papers of selected diseases also will be considered for electronic publication. Conference manuscripts will be published on the World Wide Web for two years and subsequently will be archived for future reference.

Proposed conference dates:  October 16 - November 16, 2001.  During the conference, participants will be able to correspond with other authors.  Questions and answers concerning manuscript presentations will be posted on a discussion board for further viewing.

Manuscript format: Papers should be submitted in English . The moderators will provide editorial assistance on spelling and grammar for international submissions, if desired. Electronically submitted manuscripts may be in any commonly used word processor file such as Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Text, ASCII or Rich Text Format.

Manuscript format should include the following sections: Title, Author(s) and affiliation(s), Abstract, Key Words for indexing and searching, Introduction, Materials and Methods or Case Report, Results, Discussion, Sources and Manufacturers for important reagents and equipment, Acknowledgments, References, Tables, and Figures and figure legends. A sample manuscript may be viewed here.

Illustrations: Digital images are preferred in JPG format. Other graphic formats also are supported (please contact the conference moderators for additional information). If digital images cannot be submitted by the author(s), transparencies, prints, and graphs can be digitized by the conference moderators. Both color and black and white illustrations are acceptable.

Information and manuscript submission: Additional information and manuscript submission may be accomplished by contacting conference moderators by E-mail
